These are on the list but not on the scale. Somebody who does not follow politics is not a centrist, and putting them in the middle of a ladder would be an answer they did not give.
A bare subject on the shared five-rung scale. Every sentiment topic in the bank offers the same five rungs, word for word, so that two answers are comparable without anybody having to interpret a scale.
Where this topic stands
This topic shipped with the bank rather than arriving by vote. No member has proposed retiring it, and no ballot has ever been held on it.
How it got into the bank
It was in the founding bank. No member proposed it and no ballot was held on it. It shipped with the product, along with the rest of a deliberately small set of subjects that have ended relationships for generations.
That is stated plainly rather than left to look like a decision, because the claim this product makes is that members decide what gets asked — and the founding bank is the one part of it members did not decide. They can: a member can propose retiring this topic by the same route anything else is retired, and the vote would be public.
What answering it does
Answering this is optional, and so is every topic outside the Core Ten. An answer carries a weight you choose: flexible, a strong preference, or one of your five dealbreakers. Only a dealbreaker removes anybody, and a dealbreaker filters both ways — if either side fails it, the pair never exists.
A topic existing in the bank is not an endorsement of any answer to it, and no answer here is scored as more reasonable than another.
Answers to this topic are special-category data under GDPR Article 9. They are held in a schema no browser can reach, are never sent to a third party, and another member sees one only if you both agree to it inside a conversation.
What is published about people, and what is not
Vote totals, second counts and turnout are public. Individual votes are not, and no page here attributes a vote, a second or a proposal to a person. Members can choose to be named to other members; that choice is recorded, and this page still prints no name, because it is public and indexed and a proposal is a statement about abortion, faith, medicine or sex.
If a group of accounts is found to be inauthentic, their votes are voided publicly with the reason stated, rather than quietly discounted. A thumb on the scale nobody can see is the thing this whole record exists to rule out.
