Not open here
Bearing is not open in the EU or the UK.
That is our decision about our own readiness, not a judgement about you and not something you can fix at your end. It will change, and it will change deliberately rather than quietly.
Why
Everything this product is for is special-category data. Your political views, your religious beliefs, your health choices and your sex life are exactly the categories GDPR Article 9 prohibits processing without explicit consent, and they are also the answers the matching runs on. There is no version of Bearing that touches them lightly.
Doing that properly in Europe means a data protection impact assessment, a route for subject access requests that a person actually answers, a representative established in the EU, and possibly a data protection officer. That work is real, it costs money, and it is not funded yet.
So this is sequencing, not avoidance. Opening here on a half-built consent record would not be a launch. It would be a liability, carried by the people who trusted us with the most sensitive answers we ask for.
What we have deliberately not done
There is no email box on this page and no waitlist behind it. We are not going to ask a person in Europe for an identifier on the one screen whose entire message is that we are not yet equipped to handle their data properly. That would be a contradiction, and it would be the profitable kind, which is the kind to be most suspicious of.
No account has been created and this page has asked you for nothing. What we collect when we do collect it is published in full, and the plain-language version of the Article 9 consent is on its own page, so you can judge the arrangement before you are ever inside it.
Both of those are open to everybody, everywhere, with no account. The part that is closed here is the part that would store your answers.
